Over Water: Dynamics of Dispossession Part II

Saturday June 13, h. 15.00-20.00

The ongoing water crisis has brought water management back to the center of attention. In a territory where water grabbing takes many forms − from the “privatization” of water for energy to its loss through pollution − and combines with recurring droughts, water gains a socio-ecological meaning. Both resource and threat, it reflects the contradictions of today’s development model. From the mouth of the Pignataro Stream to the confluence of the Esaro and Tuvolo, the walk crosses polluted areas and vulnerable infrastructures and neighbourhoods, bringing together researchers, artists, citizens, and activists in a temporary community exploring waterscapes to reconnect past, present, and possible futures.
