Hatice studied Landscape Architecture and Urban Design at Bilkent University and received her master degree on “Cities, Architecture and Cultural Heritage” from L’Université de Paris X, Nanterre, and L’Ecole d’Architecture de Paris Belleville in 1999. She has publications in conference proceedings and journals on historical cities and cultural heritage, cultural landscape, design education and participatory design in design education. In addition to her academic involvement, she has also conducted several national and international workshops and biennials, won awards in national and international design competitions, gave consultancy to the Ministry of Urbanism for “Urban Design Guidebook”, and served as jury member and referee at design competitions and academic journals.
