In-Between Spaces. The port and the city
Urban walk in San Benedetto Port Area

Meeting point: Monument to local fishermen, Nuttate de Lune public garden, San Benedetto del Tronto.

The event is a collective walk in between the city and the harbour of San Benedetto del Tronto. We will walk in different areas around the harbour to bring out the palimpsest of forms, practices, and uses of these places.
The participatory walk aims to guide people to reflect upon this waterscape, examining how it can be interpreted as a resource and re-discovering it as a cultural, historical, and environmental heritage.
We will walk with residents, museum curators, local associations, local governments, and stakeholders who care about this place.
We will collectively map the waterscape of the harbour and the connections to nearby neighborhoods and the sea, focusing on the small scale and relationships, caesuras and stratifications, and also the experiences and feelings that arise from the places we walk through. The day will end with a visit to the Museo del Mare and the local fish market
