Traces of water: walking along the depths of water
Saturday June 13, h. 10.00
Monticchio Laghi (Archaeological Excavations of the Monastery of Sant’Ippolito), Monticchio Bagni, Rionero in Vulture (PZ)

The hydro-mineral basin of the Vulture is the largest in Italy, formed by the eruptions of Mount Vulture, and includes two volcanic lakes of Monticchio. It is significant for the presence of mineral and thermal springs, once considered curative and now representing an economic sector. In this landscape, the deep time of geology meets the cyclical time of the seasons; in this continuous interplay of temporal scales, a complex ecosystem has emerged that has always been altered by humans, both through water extraction and the pressure of tourism. Is it possible to seek a natural contract among the parties involved?
